Beginning Walking and Running Program

Program Information:

About the Program:

Whether you are a beginning runner or run/walker, this eight (8) week program focuses on building bodies for comfort, fitness, strength, and durability for running.  The program culminates in a dedicated 5k Run/Walk Celebration Event on the weekend following the final session.

RunWalkFit is designed to teach adults of all fitness levels about proper running mechanics, nutrition/hydration tips, and best practices, pacing and goal setting.  The class will include dynamic warm-ups, form work, strength training, stretching and a variety of activities to make it fun and enjoyable.

Each session is coached by a certified coach who will introduce a different topic each week such as pacing, hydration, stretching, and running form.  Our commitment is for people at all levels to run or run/walk with attainable goals, better form and to make smarter choices for healthy living.  We want all of our participants to end the 8-week program with increased running knowledge and enhanced love for being active.

There is no emphasis on competition.  The focus is to introduce and engender a passion for running and fitness.  Each week will have new activities that relate to the daily topic, nutrition tip of the day, and endurance run to prepare for the 5K Celebration Run.

Important Note:  This is a running program.  If you are interested in a walking only program, please go to:  www.walkfitlive.com  for our companion walking program.
